Mail or Optima?

EverDesk Mail and Optima each take a different approach to integrating your email and file management.

Everdesk Mail organizes your mail within a conventional mail folder hierarchy (Inboxes, Outboxes, etc) while also including a second tree for managing all of your files.

Everdesk Optima organizes both your mail and file within one and the same folder tree. Instead of using conventional mail folders, Optima integrates mail functionality around your existing Windows subject folders, enabling you to easily organize related mail and files together in the same folders based on their common activity.

So, if you want to consolidate all information for each activity in one place, Optima is the program for you. However, if you prefer the familiarity of organizing mail in traditional mail folders and the rest of your files in their own file folders, then Everdesk Mail may be your preferred option.

Regardless of which Everdesk you choose, you'll find it easier to remain organized and focused on your activities and spend less time navigating back and forth between multiple programs, folder trees, and menus.

Both Mail and Optima are fully-featured email clients with all the tools and facilities you've grown used to in Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, and Eudora, for instance. EverDesk supports HTML, multiple email accounts, PGP encryption, and different languages. It can sort incoming mail based any set of filters that you define. When composing outgoing mail, you can choose from a list of signatures, use pre-designed stationery, have your text spell-checked, and even add an electronic vCard. It supports both POP3 and IMAP protocols.

Emails and attachments stored as individual files

Both versions of EverDesk store each email message and each attachment you send or receive as its own individual file. This approach has numerous advantages over the conventional method, including:

• Emails and attachments can be stored and managed in the same folders as the rest of your files.

• As individual files, they are not prone to corruption that may threaten .pst files that comprise the email database in other email programs.
